Time: 7–9 hours by road
The journey starts with an early morning drive from Kathmandu, heading northwest along the Trishuli River. The route passes through picturesque landscapes of terraced fields, lush forests, and traditional villages. After reaching Dhunche, a key stop for permits and a short rest, the road descends steeply through winding trails and scenic valleys.
Arriving in Chilime by late afternoon or evening, you’ll settle into this serene village, known for its traditional charm and proximity to the Chilime Hydropower Project. Take the evening to rest, enjoy local food, and prepare for the trek ahead.

Trek Duration: 6–7 hours
Distance: ~12 km (7.5 miles)
The trek begins with an ascent from Chilime, traversing through terraced fields, dense forests, and traditional Tamang settlements. The trail offers stunning views of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges.
After about 3–4 hours of trekking, you’ll arrive at Gatlang Village, a charming Tamang heritage village. Gatlang is known for its traditional stone houses, colorful prayer flags, and vibrant local culture. Enjoy a warm lunch here while soaking in the scenic surroundings and observing the locals' daily lives.
Post-lunch, the trek continues uphill towards Parvati Kunda, a sacred alpine lake revered by Hindus and Buddhists. The trek begins with a steep climb towards Pangsang Pass, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Langtang mountain ranges. At 3,842 meters (12,604 feet), the pass provides a stunning high-altitude experience with spectacular scenery of snow-capped peaks and surrounding valleys.
After reaching the pass, descend through lush forests, heading towards Laptung village, a peaceful settlement nestled in the lower hills.
The day ends with a relaxing stay in Laptung, a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the views of the surrounding landscape.

Distance: ~12 km (7.5 miles)
On this day, you’ll begin with a descent from Laptung, passing through terraced fields, and small local villages. The trail gradually descends into the lower valleys, offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and rivers.On the way you will pass through the villages like Sertung and Aauwai from where you can enjoy a perfect view of Ganesh Himal and Paldor peak.
After trekking for several hours, you’ll arrive in Borang, a peaceful village known for its traditional houses and views of the surrounding landscape. It’s a great spot to rest and enjoy the rural atmosphere.
You’ll spend the night in Borang before continuing your journey the next day.

Drive Time: 5–6 hours
Distance: ~80-100 km (50-62 miles)
On the final day, you'll begin the drive from Borang to Kathmandu. The road journey involves a scenic descent through picturesque landscapes, passing small villages, terraced fields, and rural settlements. You’ll head through Dhading Besi, the administrative center of Dhading District, where the road connects to the highway leading back to Kathmandu.
The drive can take 5–6 hours, depending on road conditions. Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of the surrounding hills and rivers as you gradually make your way towards the capital. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, the journey concludes with drop-off at your hotel, marking the end of your trekking adventure.
