Our Story

Ruby Alpine Trails was established by Yakub Ghale, a tourism professional with more than a decade of experience in Nepal’s adventure tourism industry.

Born and raised in the beautiful Ruby Valley beneath the towering peaks of Ganesh Himal, Yakub developed a deep respect for the mountains and the traditions of Himalayan communities from an early age. His journey in tourism began in 2011 when he started working as a porter and assistant guide, learning the realities, challenges, and rewards of life on the trekking trails.

Over time, he gained valuable field experience and professional skills, eventually earning his official Trekking Guide License from the Government of Nepal in 2014. Since then, he has guided trekkers from around the world across Nepal’s most iconic regions.

Alongside guiding, Yakub also worked as a Trip Manager, handling trekking operations, designing itineraries, managing logistics, and ensuring smooth execution of each journey. This combination of fieldwork and management experience helped him deeply understand both traveler expectations and on-ground realities in the Himalayas.

Although he gained strong experience working with established trekking companies. He eventually realized the need for a more personalized and ethical approach to trekking services.This led to the decision to establish Ruby Alpine Trails, with the vision of offering authentic Himalayan experiences led by local experts and built on fairness, safety, and genuine connection with the mountains.
